Ensurion Wins Regional Insurance Award
Ensurion W.L.L., the Bahrain-based insurance management company, has been announced as the winner of "The MEIF Institutional Excellence Award 2007" at the 4th Annual Middle East Insurance Forum. Developed with the support of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), the Award was presented in recognition of Ensurion's outstanding achievement and institutional excellence as the first insurance manager in the Middle East that had played a key role in recently incorporating the first captive insurance company to be domiciled in the MENA region: Tabreed Captive Insurance Company (TCIC). TCIC is the fully owned insurance subsidiary of UAE-based Tabreed, the world's leading provider of district cooling services.
Mr. Youssef Al Kareh, Ensurion's General Manager, stated that "it is an honor to receive such a prestigious award at the Middle East's premier insurance conference. It is our hope that this award will serve to reinforce Ensurion's innovative efforts and its commitment as a trusted, independent advisor to regional large insurance buyers and 'blue chip' companies."
Ensurion was founded and seed financed in mid 2004 by Stratum, a regional private equity firm focused on early and growth stage ventures. "We are truly proud of Ensurion's recent progress and future growth prospects," stated Ahmed D. Alumran, one of Stratum's Managing Partners, "and we look forward to more great achievements from this regional insurance innovator in the coming months and years."
